What is respite care?
Respite care is short-term care designed to give primary caregivers a break from the 24/7 demands of caring for a loved one who is sick or disabled. Depending on the caregiver’s needs, care can be arranged for a few hours or a few days in one of our adult day centers. Overnight stays can also be arranged in one of our residential care communities with a minimum stay of two weeks. In addition, care can be provided in the individual’s home.
What is included in respite care?
Professional caregivers provide short-term, round-the-clock care in a comfortable, secure environment. Meals, housekeeping and social opportunities are typically included. Some services such as medication management or therapy may incur an additional fee. Request details when you visit the community.
