Abbey Lane is our specialized memory community unit at Benedale Center. It’s set up to be a natural extension of our assisted living services to care for residents living with mild to moderate cognitive impairments.
Memory Care Excellence
Benedale has a special partnership with Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center, one of the leading institutions in progressive Alzheimer’s research and care. This partnership provides staff with training in best practices for managing the disease.
The program encourages residents to engage in a variety of safe and creative activities specifically designed to enhance their self-esteem, minimize feelings of isolation, increase cognitive stimulation and create a sense of home. Our goal is to ensure the total well-being of each resident. Abbey Lane care providers develop close ties with family members, and these relationships help establish personalized care plans for residents, while fostering a collaborative, attentive sense of community. Expertly trained staff take personal ownership in their role of caring for persons with dementia or Alzheimer’s, providing 24-hour oversight in a safe, comfortable environment of 14 private rooms.
Priority access to Abbey Lane services is available to Villa St. Benedict residents.
