Sister Joan Marie Stelman, OSB

Senior Vice President, Mission Integration

Sister Joan Marie Stelman, OSB, serves Benedictine as senior vice president, mission integration, where her responsibilities include the implementation of the mission integration strategic plan, development and oversight of Mission and Core Value education, direction and execution of the Mission and Values Survey and ongoing delivery of the governance formation program.

Prior to joining Benedictine in 2021, Stelman served as mission integration director for the East Region of Essentia Health, Duluth, Minn., and assistant director of alumni relations for the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth.

She has served on many governing boards for local and regional non-profit organizations including the Benedictine Board of Directors, the Benedictine Living Community-Winona Board, the Benedictine Sisters Benevolent Association Board and as a member of the Monastery Council.

Stelman is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and the University of Toronto (Canada) for her Master of Arts.
