Ben Woit, JD

Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Legal Services

Ben Woit serves Benedictine as senior vice president of legal services and general counsel, managing the organization’s legal affairs and supporting its governance functions.

Woit’s responsibilities include mergers and acquisitions, litigation and risk management, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and ensuring the provision of operations-oriented legal support to Benedictine’s communities and support center. He also oversees various initiatives focused on operational effectiveness and process improvement.

Prior to joining Benedictine, Woit served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG Corps) where he was assigned to the medical service, providing legal guidance in hospitals and other health services networks. He continues to serve as a lieutenant colonel in the reserves.

Woit is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the American Health Law Association.

Woit holds a bachelor’s degree and a juris doctor from the University of Minnesota.
