Veterans, Get the Benefits You Earned

Benedictine is now a preferred partner of Patriot Angels and together we help veterans and their spouses secure pension benefits for senior care. Founded in 2012, Patriot Angels serves wartime heroes by helping them navigate through the complex process of applying for Aid and Attendance benefits that are paid for by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

VA Aid and Attendance benefits:

  • Financial Assistance:  monthly financial support reduces out-of-pocket costs for long-term senior care, making it more affordable
  • Enhanced Quality of Life:  easing financial strain helps families access the best professional care at the Benedictine living community of their choice
  • Peace of Mind:  we guide families through the process of claiming benefits, ensuring Veterans receive the care they deserve

Millions of veterans are potentially eligible to receive financial support for assisted living, memory care, adult day services and home care, but few are aware they’ve earned these benefits. Because Aid and Attendance is so unknown, only an estimated 2% of Veterans who may be eligible are receiving benefits.

Are You Eligible for VA Aid and Attendance?

  1. Are you 65 or older or 100% disabled?
  2. Did you serve at least 90 days of active military duty?
  3. Was one of those days during a declared wartime?
  4. Did you receive an Honorable, Medical, or General Discharge?
  5. Are you a spouse of a Veteran answering ‘Yes’ to the questions above?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you could be eligible.

“My dad is a Silver Star and Purple Heart recipient earned while serving in the Korean War with the Marines. I will always be profoundly grateful to Patriot Angels for their rapid assistance in helping my parents get the financial help they needed to move into an assisted living community.”
