Spiritual Connection at the Heart of Community: Faith, Reflection and Renewal at Benedictine Ada

In the quiet moments of life, it is often faith that grounds us, reflection that guides us and renewal that carries us forward. At Benedictine Ada, these spiritual touchpoints are not just offerings, they are part of who we are.
Rooted in the rich history of the Benedictine tradition, our community is built on values that have stood the test of time. Inspired by the teachings of St. Benedict, this tradition centers on balance, prayer, hospitality and meaningful connection. It is a way of life that encourages each person to slow down, be present and find purpose in both the ordinary and the extraordinary moments.
Living the Benedictine Tradition Through Faith and Fellowship
At Benedictine Ada, we bring that tradition to life every day by creating opportunities for residents, families and community members to nurture their spiritual well-being. We understand that faith looks different for everyone, and we strive to create welcoming spaces where all feel comfortable exploring, growing and connecting.
One of the most meaningful ways we do this is through our growing Bible study offerings, which have quickly become a cornerstone of spiritual life within our community. These gatherings are more than just time spent reading scripture. They are moments of connection, reflection and shared understanding.
Our men’s Bible study, held every second Tuesday, offers a space for conversation, fellowship and faith-centered discussion. It is a time where stories are shared, wisdom is passed along and meaningful relationships are strengthened. There is something powerful about coming together with others who understand your journey and are walking alongside you in faith.
In addition, our Wednesday Bible study is open to everyone and continues to be a welcoming and engaging space for spiritual growth. This group currently explores devotional materials designed specifically for older adults, creating thoughtful discussions that connect scripture to everyday life. Each gathering offers not only reflection, but also a sense of belonging, where every voice matters and every perspective is valued.
Ongoing Opportunities for Reflection, Renewal and Support
Spiritual life at Benedictine Ada extends far beyond Bible study, offering meaningful opportunities throughout each month for connection, comfort and renewal. Residents and families can gather for Grief Group at 3:00 on the third Monday of the month, creating a supportive space to share, reflect and heal together. Mass is offered at 10:00 on the first and third Tuesdays, providing a familiar and grounding rhythm for those rooted in Catholic tradition. Devotions take place every Wednesday at 3:00, offering a peaceful midweek moment for prayer and reflection, while Protestant church services are held every Thursday at 1:30, ensuring inclusive opportunities for worship across faith backgrounds. For those who prefer more personal connection, one to one visits are always available by request, offering individualized spiritual support when it is needed most.
You can explore more about these opportunities and other community offerings through our programs and events page at Benedictine Ada Programs and Events page.
What makes these moments so special is not just the content, but the connection. Laughter over coffee, quiet reflection during a passage and heartfelt conversations that linger long after the gathering ends. These are the moments that feed the soul.
At Benedictine Ada, spiritual care is not an afterthought. It is woven into the fabric of daily life. Whether through structured studies, personal reflection or simple conversations, we create space for renewal and peace. Because here, faith is not just practiced. It is lived, shared and felt. And in those shared moments of reflection, something beautiful happens. Hearts are lifted, spirits are renewed and a deeper sense of purpose begins to grow.
At Benedictine Ada, that is what community truly means.
