Quite the Combination
What do you get when you cross a kid from ‘the sticks’ with an undergraduate degree in criminal justice and graduate degree from the College of St. Scholastica’s (CSS) Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program? The newest Benedictine Home Health physical therapist.
Trevor Baumann…with two ‘n’s, joined our team in June 2023. When asked where he grew up, Trevor likes to say, “Eden Valley-Watkins, it is in the sticks just southwest of the St. Cloud area.” And, why Duluth? In particular the DPT program at CSS, but also it is a place with lots of recreation. From hiking to volleyball and plenty in between, it is a good combination for Trevor.
No stranger to Duluth, in 2012 he ran Grandma’s full marathon. then in 2019 it was Bentleyville that brought him here where he proposed to his girlfriend, Renee, who is now his wife. They married in September 2020.
A product of COVID milestones, Trevor and Renee were married in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Why SD? The pandemic precautions were less stringent than Minnesota. He also shared, again because of COVID, many of his classes were online. He said, “Imagine anatomy on ZOOM!?!” Through it all they made it with flying colors.
Always willing to try something new, Trevor plays on two volleyball leagues, likes to explore the area hiking trails, has done mud runs, competed in 5K races and while at St Cloud State, he ran short sprints in track and field. To add to the combination of interests, he and Renee have two fluffy cats and a bunny.
However you combine it…this kid from the sticks with boundless energy and drive makes for success.
