A continuum is something that keeps on going, changing slowly over time, like the continuum of the four seasons. In addition to meaning “a whole made up of many parts,” continuum, can describe a range that is always present. – vocabulary.com
Benedictine Living Community-Duluth takes pride in the ability to work with residents and families to develop customized living options. Our community provides a sense of comfort, security and independence where seniors can age in a continuum of care.
From adult day services to independent living and assisted living to memory care; skilled nursing and therapy to home health; our range of services can evolve over time creating person-centered care.
This past year we have transitioned many residents within our community. From Benedictine Westwood Independent & Assisted Living, we had nine residents transition to Benedictine Marywood and two who moved to Benedictine Westwood Terrace. Twelve more moved from housing to long-term care. Two Benedictine Marywood residents moved to Benedictine Westwood Terrace. One assisted living resident graduated to independent living.
With the continuum of care, Benedictine Duluth is able keep couples needing different ranges of care under the same roof. “It is so important to me and to my family that I can visit my husband in Safe Harbor memory care,” shared one Westwood Independent resident.
Many of our housing residents regularly attend the Adult Day Services program. The Home Health team not only cares for residents in the greater Duluth area, they also work with residents in our Benedictine Duluth family.
As needs change, transition from one type of living to the next is hard, yet being able to stay in a familiar community, with familiar friends, family and staff help to keep our residents Living Fully | Living Well.
