Free Summer Music Series Returns to Benedictine Living Community-St. Joseph

Some of the most meaningful summer evenings are often the simplest: a lawn chair, familiar music and time spent in good company.
That spirit is at the heart of the Free Summer Nights Live Music Series at Benedictine Living Community-St. Joseph. The series begins Tuesday, June 9, with Old-Time Religion Night featuring Andy Campbell. Guests are invited to bring a lawn chair and enjoy an evening of outdoor music from 6–7 p.m. at Benedictine Living Community–St. Joseph, 1202 Heartland Road in St. Joseph.
The Summer Nights Live Music Series includes:
- June 9: Old-Time Religion Night featuring Andy Campbell
- July 14: Shake, Rattle and Roll Night featuring Ben and Lauren Johnson
- Aug. 11: Sentimental Journey Night featuring Kim Osborne Band
These evenings offer more than live entertainment. They create opportunities for connection, hospitality and meaningful engagement throughout the summer. Guests are welcome to gather with friends, bring a family member and enjoy a relaxed community event centered on music and togetherness. From gospel favorites to classic rock and roll to timeless melodies, each evening offers something unique.
For many, the series has become a cherished summer tradition for older adults, families and music lovers across the St. Joseph area. It is one more way our community comes together to support quality of life and shared experiences.
Reservations for the June 9 event are requested by June 6. To RSVP, call Karen Cannon at 816-671-8542. Guests are welcome to reserve a spot for themselves, a friend or a family member. We look forward to welcoming you for a summer evening of music and community.
