Benedictine Living Community-LaMoure Receives $10,000 Gift for Resident Lounge Updates

A recent gift to Benedictine Living Community-LaMoure will help create a more welcoming shared space for residents, families and visitors.
On June 1, 2026, Benedictine Living Community-LaMoure received a $10,000 gift from the Edgeley American Legion Henry Parthie Post No. 146 to support updates to the community’s shared resident lounge.
During a presentation to the Legion, team members from Benedictine Living Community-LaMoure, joined by an Edgeley resident whose husband lives in Benedictine LaMoure, shared why local care matters. She spoke about being able to see her husband almost every day because he could stay close to home rather than move to a larger city farther away. The presentation also highlighted the number of veterans and families Benedictine serves across the entire county, showing how support for LaMoure benefits the broader region, not just one town.
The gift reflects the care and generosity that continue to strengthen Benedictine communities and the people they serve.
A Gift That Supports Comfort and Hospitality
The resident lounge is an important gathering space within the community. It is where residents spend time with family, visit with friends and enjoy quiet moments throughout the day. Updates to that space will help make it more comfortable, functional and inviting for everyone who uses it.
This gift also highlights the strong bond between neighboring communities. While each community has its own history and traditions, support like this shows a shared commitment to honoring older adults and caring for veterans across the region.
Local Partnership, Lasting Impact
Support from community partners helps Benedictine Living Community-LaMoure continue creating spaces that promote dignity, hospitality and quality of life. Gifts like this do more than fund updates. They help strengthen everyday experiences for residents and the people who visit them.
The Benedictine Foundation is grateful to the Edgeley American Legion Henry Parthie Post No. 146 for its partnership and generous investment in the well-being of older adults in the region.
