Benedictine-Crookston Welcomes Mary Ellingson, Speech-Language Pathologist
My name is Mary Ellingson, and I’m excited to join the Benedictine Living Community-Crookston team as the new speech-language pathologist.
I recently moved to Crookston from Minot, ND, where I attended graduate school at Minot State University (MSU). Before joining the Benedictine Crookston, I gained clinical experience providing therapy at the MSU Communication Disorders clinic on campus and via teletherapy. My scope of practice includes; articulation, fluency, voice/resonance, receptive/expressive language, hearing, swallowing, cognitive aspects of communication, social aspects of communication, and communication modalities.
Prior to pursuing my speech-language pathology career I was a paraprofessional and a substitute teacher for the Minot Public School system and for the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) in Europe. My husband Erik recently retired from active-duty in the United States Air Force. My family and I love to travel, fish, hunt, and spend time on Star Lake.
I’m looking forward to serving the Crookston community by making a positive impact in the lives of Benedictine Crookston residents and their families.
