Five Benedictine Communities ranked best by U.S. News & World Report

Five Benedictine Communities were ranked High Performing in the 2024-25 U.S. News & World Report “Best Nursing Homes” ratings.

U.S. News and World Report evaluated more than 15,000 skilled nursing facilities throughout the country and rated them in two different areas – short term rehabilitation and long-term care – as well as an overall rating.

The short-term rehabilitation rating is based on an assessment of nine quality measures focusing on nurse staffing, resident outcomes, facility deficiencies and process of care provided to residents who spent 100 days or fewer at a skilled nursing facility for care needed as a result of a stroke or accident, joint replacement or other rehabilitation-focused recovery.

The long-term care rating is based on eight quality measures focusing on nurse staffing, resident outcomes and turnover of ownership and staff.

Earning the high performing rating for short-term rehabilitation were: Benedictine Villa St. Vincent, Crookston; Benedictine Living Community-New Brighton; Benedictine St. Gertrude’s, Shakopee; Cerenity Care Center-Marian of Saint Paul; and Cerenity Care Center-White Bear Lake (all in Minnesota). In addition, Benedictine Living Community-New Brighton earned the high performing rating for long term care.

“At the core of Benedictine’s Mission lies a commitment to serving those in need, guided by our Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect, and Justice. We extend our heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to all Benedictine Living Communities for their tireless efforts and unwavering dedication to upholding these values each day, while delivering quality, compassionate care to those they serve,” said Jerry Carley, Benedictine president/CEO.
