The Benedictine Spirit Award – External Community Focus honors partnerships that extend our Mission and Core Values beyond our walls and into the broader community.
This year, the Benedictine Spirit Award recognizes Benedictine Living Community-Owatonna for their inspiring Community Connections initiative. In collaboration with local partners, associates assembled backpacks filled with essential items—blankets, gloves, toiletries, snacks, and more—to support those in need. The Owatonna Police Department joined the effort, carrying the backpacks in patrol cars and distributing them throughout the community.
This is a beautiful example of what’s possible when hearts and hands come together in service.
