The Benedictine Volunteer of the Year Award honors individuals or groups who exemplify our Mission and Core Values through selfless service.
For 2025, Benedictine recognizes Cecilia Baatz, a long time volunteer at Benedictine Living Community–Crookston, Minn. A devoted and multi-talented volunteer, Cecilia brings joy and compassion to daily life at the community. She serves in the dining room, joins singalongs and Bingo, plays piano for Memory Care and memorial services, and ministers Communion to those unable to attend Mass.
Cecilia also serves on the Auxiliary Board, actively recruiting new members to support the community. In 2022, she was named Polk County Senior Citizen of the Year—a testament to her enduring commitment to others. Congratulations and thank you!
