Prayer for the Feast of Saint Benedict

Loving God, fill us with the wisdom and compassion of Saint Benedict.

Help us to hear Your voice calling us to love and respect one another.

As Saint Benedict taught, help us to value the voice of every person,
even if they can no longer speak to us in words.

Help us to listen “with the ears of our heart,”
so we may respond to the needs of those around us with love and compassion.

May the kindness and respect we show others help them to see how precious they are in Your eyes
and bring them healing, courage, and joy.

We ask this in your holy name,
Amen
