A Prayer of Hope for National Day of Prayer

God of Our Hope,
With the great breath of Your Spirit,
You have brought us into this world,
And created us in Your very own image and likeness.
We are beautifully and wonderfully made, the psalmist proclaims.

We implore You now to breathe new life in us!
In a world rocked by war and torn by greed,
May we become Your voice of kindness,
Your heart of tenderness, Your offer of peace,
In our own corners of the world.

As You have loved us, So may we love.
Hold us up, dear God,
That we may not sink to despair,
But be Your hope in a world that cries out for healing.

Amen.
