How To Pray
How does one start to pray? The following demonstrates a simple form to create a prayer for any occasion. This example demonstrates how to build a prayer for a meeting, but the general form can also be used for personal prayers. Prayer is a conversation with God, who always listens to people.

1. Call on God (options):
     a. God of the Living
     b. Spirit of God
     c. Jesus, our Brother,

2. Compliment God (options):
     a. You are the giver of all good gifts.
     b. We thank You and praise You for Your inspiration.
     c. We thank You for coming to live among us.

3. Make your request (options):
     a. Be with us as we discuss end of life issues.
     b. Give us listening hearts to discern our needs.
     c. May Your life help us to treat all of our residents as we would treat You.

4. Conclusion (options):
     a. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
          AMEN.
     b. Both now and forever.
          AMEN.
     c. In Your name we pray.
          AMEN.

Example: PRAYER using Option A from above

God of the Living,
You are the giver of all good gifts.
Be with us as we discuss end of life issues.
(You may have more than one request.)
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
AMEN.

The following prayers are general purpose and can be used for any meeting.
