Prayer for the Feast of Saint Benedict

Loving God,
     we give thanks for the wisdom of Saint Benedict.

Through his intercession, may we learn to treasure Your Justice. 

Help us to discern wisely, so that we may challenge what is not just
     and nurture what is true and right in Your eyes.

Grant that through our loving actions, we may build up Your kingdom
     by helping to create and sustain communities
     where all persons may flourish and know love, compassion and respect.

We ask this in Jesus’ name.
