Joslyn Biever appointed new senior vice president, foundation/chief philanthropy officer

Joslyn Biever will join Benedictine as senior vice president, foundation/chief philanthropy officer, effective Oct. 15.

At Benedictine, Biever will be responsible for leading and directing all philanthropy efforts that support the Benedictine Mission and Core Values. She will have strategic responsibility for the comprehensive fund development program for the Benedictine Foundation and its Associated Foundations. Joslyn will provide leadership and staff support to the Benedictine Foundation, the Foundation Board of Directors, and the coordination of grant and fund development efforts that support those served by the Benedictine healthcare ministry.

“Joslyn brings more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of fund development to our Foundation team,” said Jerry Carley, Benedictine president and CEO. “We look forward to her leadership and her passion for the impact philanthropy can have on the Mission and those who are served.”

Biever is excited to bring her more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit and healthcare leadership.  She has experience in all aspects of fund development – individual, planned, corporate, foundation, annual and federal funding – and is eager to bring this to her new role at Benedictine and have a meaningful impact on the lives of those served in Benedictine Living Communities. Previously, she served as vice president of philanthropy for Children’s Minnesota; as director, corporate and foundation relations for the University of St. Thomas, and in a variety of leadership and fund development roles with the University of Minnesota.
