Prayer for Feast of St. Scholastica

Gracious God,
in love you’ve created each of us in your own image, giving us dignity and worth.

As we meet others, known or stranger,
may we be the first to show respect, eye-to-eye and heart-to-heart.

Help us be determined to see others with the “eyes of our heart”
eager to welcome them as Christ
curious to know them better
supportive of their needs, gifts, and dreams
wise to embrace the beauty, strength, and value of our differences
humble to treat them as equals
generous to serve and be served in mutual ministry
happy to share life with them in community and grateful to be together.

In Your Holy Name, we pray.
