Important Coronavirus Information
Important Message from Executive Director, Taylar Hack
As part of our effort to prevent the spread of the virus, Benedictine Living Community-Bismarck has been offering regular coronavirus testing to our guests and associates. This testing helps to identify those who may have the virus and may not show symptoms so we can care for them and potentially limit transmission to others. We continue to monitor all our guests and associates for signs and symptoms of the virus. We will post an update on our hotline – 701-712-7550 – if our testing identifies any new positive cases.
We remain in close communication with our local and state health officials to ensure we are taking all appropriate steps.
Indoor visitation may be scheduled through our Social Wellness department by calling 701-751-5104 for Skilled Care visits and 701-712-7216 for Housing visits. When arriving for visitation each person will be screened and required to wear a mask while in the facility. It is important to note that if Benedictine-Bismarck experiences one new positive staff or resident case, we will be required to cease indoor visitation.
Benedictine-Bismarck has hosted three COVID-19 vaccine clinics offering the vaccine to our guests and employees. We want to encourage everyone to get vaccinated against COVID-19. It is one of the best ways to protect yourself and everyone around you, particularly those who are at increased risk for severe illness. Getting this vaccine will not only protect you from being infected; it will help us take a big step towards ending this pandemic.
As we wait for the vaccine for all, we urge everyone to remain vigilant with wearing face masks, wearing them properly, and practicing good hand hygiene and social distancing.
Infection Control Measures:
Because our guests’ and associates’ health and wellness is our priority, Benedictine-Bismarck has implemented all recommended measures to prevent the spread of this virus on our campus. All our associates are following the latest infection control protocols from the CDC to protect the health and safety of our residents and themselves, including:
· Monitoring and screening residents daily for symptoms of respiratory illness, temperature and oxygen levels.
· Providing masks to all residents to wear when caregivers are in their room.
· Implementing socially distanced meal service and activities.
· Encouraging health care providers to use telehealth when possible.
At Benedictine Living Community-Bismarck, our priority is the health and wellness of our guests and associates. We know that the frail and elderly are especially susceptible to the coronavirus. That is why we have been doing all we can to prevent the spread of this virus.
